New Workshop Announcement was just sent out!

~ Simple Giant Puppet Construction for Everyone! ~

Instructors / Artists: Sarah Lovett & Toni Mikulka

Sundays: May 15th, 22nd, June 5th, & 12th 12-4pm

Join us for this Puppet Ensemble Building Workshop! We plan to construct 5 giant song bird puppets (modeled after the gorgeous Cedar Waxwing below).

The Cedar Waxwing is so lovely.

Skills we will learn and use:

– making a small reed head ( 2 work shops):  May 15 & 22nd at the Power House),

– hand dyeing 15′ silk bird feather wings:  June 5th (location tbd),

– sewing and putting it all it all together:  June 12th (at Capers).

+++No materials fee (Yay! We love you!) for working on the Giant Puppet Ensemble.

The project, officially titled, “Giant Puppets Save the World” will be featured at the Solstice Parade in Seattle. This is an amazing event not to be missed, and if you can get involved you will be delighted and add years to your life in laughter, smiles, and community like you’ve never experienced it.

Our workshop is geared for ages 16 and up, younger artists must be accompanied by a guardian.
