This simple drawing of a Bread and Puppet Giant Flying Bird, is being used as an inspirational force in the creation of our Giant Flying Cedar Waxwings (a beautiful song bird in the Pacific Northwest). The main difference, is that the bird you see here is made of old recycled sheets and a paper maiche head. The bird we are creating for the Fremont Arts Council Solstice parade will be made of silk, hand-dyed wings, a reed head, and a center body windsock made out of silk!
